Our Story

Hello, I'm Lisa Rolland the founder of KTSU.

I started this journey with nothing more than a desire to find a bag to carry my heels in.  I was intrigued to find out what other women, like me, did on nights out when they wanted to wait until they got to the party before they put on their heels. Why wasn’t there a smart bag on the market that could hold my heels and then my secondary pair?

Determined to create the best design I'm delighted to have a product that I think answers that age old problem of what to do with your coveted/secondary pair of shoes when travelling to work, on a night out or at an event.  Better still the KTSU Kristina bag can hold everything you need for a day at the office, a night out or a weekend away so it really is the only bag you ever need.

KTSU is a bag that traverses from day to night. Created from quality faux leather and velvet lining, KTSU is available in five colours plus our signature colour, black. Four styling options include cross-body, over the shoulder, tote and backpack, making it universally versatile, portable and very light to carry. With handy internal and external pockets KTSU comes complete with a drawstring dust bag and is presented in a stylish black box; the ideal purchase, or gift, for anyone who loves their shoes. And bags. And style.

I can't wait for the next part of the journey to begin.

Hello, I’m Jack Rolland the owner of KTSU & son of Lisa

This is a message I never imagined I would have to share, especially not this soon. My mother was an extraordinary woman, embodying resilience, determination, and an unwavering drive. Her story is a testament to these qualities.

I was captivated by her passion for business, and when I heard about her vision for KTSU, I eagerly supported her, hoping to one day play a part in bringing it to life. After many late nights, exhausting hours, and numerous hurdles, KTSU finally launched in November 2021, and we were filled with anticipation as we watched it begin to flourish.

As many know, the journey of starting a business is arduous. Yet, my mother poured her heart and soul into it, and after six challenging years, we started to see progress. But then came her greatest hurdle. In April 2023, she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and it felt as though the world had ground to a halt. Undeterred, she confronted this formidable obstacle with the same determination she had shown in founding KTSU. She fought with astonishing bravery and unwavering positivity until the very end. Her passing left an irreplaceable void in our lives, but it also ignited a flame within me to carry forward her legacy.

Before her passing, my mother came up with a remarkable idea: to donate every penny of profit from the business she had poured so much of herself into. In keeping with this promise, we have decided to donate all profits from our next 1000 sales to Maggie's Cancer Charity! This gesture is our way of honouring my mother's memory and supporting those who are fighting their own battles against this relentless disease.

Every product we create, every sale we make, is a testament to the love that binds us together and the hope that drives us forward. Through our small contribution, we strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others, just as my mother did in ours.

Join us in this journey of remembrance, resilience, and giving. Together, let's turn pain into purpose and make a difference where it matters most.

Jack
